The review it's very acurate and well done. This
anime it's mi favorite ever because it goes beyond the usual TV Drama emotional
problems, you can feel the struggle and the fear in every minute of the show. I
felt really moved by the special friendship that all the characters share
(everytime Ayu cried I cried with her, and Morita-senpai jokes makes me laugh so
much lol) and I enjoyed every single episode. On the other hand, you're right
about the art and the music, the art it's not perfect but it's not that bad, the
music it's great, the lyrics are well matched with the situations while you're
seeing them (Suga Shikao, SPITZ, Suneohair, etc. All of them did a great job
with their songs, I just love them all ^^) and gave a deep touch to the
characters sufferings. This anime also shows the search of your place in the
world, the fight between talent and courage in the tough world of arts, the
expectations, the dreams and the suffer that the unrequired love gaves. The
deepest point is "the search" the search for happiness, the search for
perfection (you see this in Morita and Hagu), the search for love (this is the
situation of Ayu, Takemoto, Nomiya and Mayama), the search beyond the discovery
of love (you see this in Hagu and Morita), the search for the past and the lost
(like Rika-san and her dead husband T^T) and -finally- the search of yourself,
the travel to find that side of yourself that holds the key of your future (or
the key of the future that you want to achieve).
This one it's not an easy anime, just like
everyone said it's ideal for university students ( an people +18 and almost
perfect for +20 >_^) who knows how hard it's to pass the adolesce and start
to face the complex world of adulthood. I highly recommend this anime... it's
perfect (and the manga it's one of the best and most readed top 10 shoujo manga
<3 in Japan).
Well, I don't like this manga at all, it feels reiterative most of the time. The
side stories are really good and save you from some instants of incredible
boredom while reading the main story of the manga. The style it's good (Yuu
Watase it's a good mangaka) but you can see a better work and plot line in
Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden or Ayashi no Ceres (more adventure and less
romance... if you like that >_^). So if you like Yuu Watase and don't like
this work of her, you can go and buy the other ones ^^ (Fushigi Yuugi GK rulez,
I love it!).
